Prosperities: white powder with a pungent odor, corrosive and toxic, soluble in water, contact with water evolves immense heat and nascent oxygen, may decompose violently if exposed to heat or direct sunlight, reacts with acids evaporate chlorine and react with organic materials and oils may cause fire, a oxidant, active chlorine content is 70% upwards.

Caution during transportation: store in a dry and well-ventilated place, keep away from organic materials, acids, and reducers. handle with care, avoid exposed sunlight. do not handle drums in rainy days. keep far away fire and heat sources.

Method of extinguishing a fire: use sand, form, or carbon dioxide

How to treat in urgency: use dilute aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate or diluted ammonia liquor to wash skin if burnt and avoid contact with acids.
