The equipment is employed primarily to jam the GPS based navigational systems in a tactical battlefield. The jammer is able to render the GPS services ineffective or introduce unacceptable errors in their accuracies. The equipment is man portable and capable of being mounted in vehicle, if required. The system can be quickly deployed and can be suitably ruggedized for field use.

 

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite based navigational system. GPS receives low-level signals from the satellite, which can be jammed by a ground-based jammer. Jamming, when carried our effectively can disrupt the functioning of GPS.
