Introduction:
Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid used to treat arthritis pain and inflammation. Brand name drugs which contain hydrocortisone include: Cortef, Hydrocortone, and Cortisol.
For the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. Also used to treat endocrine (hormonal) disorders (adrenal insufficiency, Addisons disease).
