Non-Evaporable Getters For Lighting Devices
As a rule, electric bulbs are manufactured in a way of evacuating inside or a way of adding inert gases into the bulb after evacuating; and if you supplies electricity through filament of the bulb, which has stubborn electrical resistance so can be easily heated, then it can give light out as a result.
However, when the bulb contains some air inside, filament can be oxygenated because the bulb will stay in very high temperature. Once oxygenation started, it grows continuously and makes light weaker and weaker, raising up the resistance value of filament till it becomes finally disconnected, losing light.
To solve the problem like this, we need to use getters, to remove remaining gases chemically so evacuate bulb down to lower pressure. To reach that pressure, we use vacuum pump first then the getter next. As a result, we are finally able to get a ultrahigh quality product!
With the getter implemented, the electric bulb can have better luminosity as well as longer product-life. Since we adopted a nickel holder for the getter, it not only features better handling condition but also eliminates possibility of degrading performance of the getter touched by users hands having salt or water.
In case that inert gases (Ar, He, Xe, etc.) are added as well, our company's getter can completely remove the impurities such as oxygen, nitrogen, water, CO2 and CH4 which could be in the gas.
