The bentonite that can be used in desiccant is a special high charge Ca-base bentonite, with high CEC, and its adsorption capacity is achieved by the double functions of interlayer Ca+1 hydrating and adsorbing the H2O molecules lead by the large surface area of granules. Ca+2 ion hydrating plays a major part. Following is the comparison of four kinds of desiccants:
