CHINT Series BP Frequency Sensitive Rheostat
CHINT Series BP frequency sensitive rheostat
Applicable scope and model implication
Series BP1 frequency sensitive rheostat is used for occasional starting in under loading and heavy load of three-phase AC winding asynchronous motor of power 2.2~2240kW, 50Hz. For example: water pump, air compressor, rolling mill and air compressing engine, etc.
Series BP2 frequency sensitive rheostat, the same as series BP1, is used for under loading starting. The capacity of the motor should be 10~1120kW. For example: air compressor and water pump etc. The difference with series BP1 is that its iron core is made of square steel. The quantity of the iron core can be one to four pieces according to the difference capacity of the motor.
Series BP3 frequency sensitive rheostat is used for starting in series JZR winding asynchronous motors of 2.2~125kW under the condition of frequent operation. The frequency sensitive rheostat is generally connected in the loop circuit of motor. In general, the short-connected device should not be installed.
Series BP4 frequency sensitive rheostat is used for heavy load occasional starting in 14~1000kW winding asynchronous motor. For example: ball mill and crushing engine, etc.
Series BP6 frequency sensitive rheostat is used for heavy load starting in three-phase AC winding asynchronous motor of power 50Hz. The frequency sensitive rheostat is designed into the four-pipe structure. It is composed of iron core and winding. Each phase of the iron core has four hoops. The outside and third hoop is aluminum hoop, the second and inner hoop is iron hoop, and the yoke iron is thick steel plate. Four-pipe structure is interlinked with inner aluminum and iron hoop on the basis of series BP4. When the motor starts, the magnetic flow concentrates in the outer iron hoop for the skin effect of the current. The slip rate is reduced gradually and the skin effect is faded down with the rising of the motor speed, then the magnetic flow gradually enters the inner iron hoop to increase the induced electromotive force in the aluminum hoop. The effect is equal to connect a resistance whose value reduces regularly in parallel on the outer aluminum hoop. The inner and outer aluminum hoops compose equivalent resistance that is in direct proportion with the square root of the slip rate under proper parameter. The rheostatic strength can be improved greatly. Therefore, the mechanical characteristics of the four-pipe frequency sensitive rheostat are more advantageous than that of series BP1, BP2 and BP4.
Series BPS frequency sensitive rheostat is used for composing slip rate adjuster in AC winding motor with flywheel (rotational intertia).
Series BP8Y frequency sensitive rheostat is used for starting and inversed connecting in new energy conservation motor, whose capacity is 1.5~200kW, 50Hz and series YZR three-phase asynchronous motor used for lifting metallurgical. The common connection mode will be adopted when connecting the frequency sensitive rheostat in the rotor loop of the asynchronous motor. The short connection equipment such as contactor should not be installed. So its characteristics are that make the motor obtain the mechanical characteristics of approaching the constant torque with concise system. It is ideal starting components.

The voltage dropping characteristic of the transformer is used to reduce the starting current of the motor and to perfect the effect that the motor against the transmission network when starting.
Structure and characteristics
The series transformer is provided with 65 %( 60%) and 80% two groups of starting voltage taps. If the smaller starting torque is needed, tap of 65 %( 60%) can be chosen; if the bigger starting torque is needed, tap of 80% can be chosen. The transformer can be assembled in series XJZ1, JJ1, auto negative boosting starting boxes as main parts.
