H Polori Test
Storage and Stability
The H. Pylori test kit should be stored at any temperature between 8-30 Centigrade in the original sealed pouch. The diluents should also be stored in the original vial at 8-30 Centigrade. The test kit is stable until the date imprinted on the box label and/or foil pouch. Do not use expired test kits. Do not freeze test kits
Precautions
The test is for in vitro diagnostic and for professional use only. Use the test only in accordance with instructions supplied with the kit.
Handle all specimens as recommended for any potentially infectious human serum or blood specimen.
Use suitable protective clothing (gloves, lab coat, safety glasses) when handling the kit or samples during the assay. Avoid any contact between hands, eyes, nose or mouth during specimen collection and testing.
Do not pipette any material by mouth. Do not smoke, eat ordrink in areas where specimens or kit material are kept.
After the completion of assay, at 0 Centigrade lave all materials for at least 1 hour at 125 Centigrade. Alternatively, add bleach (sodium hyp centigrade hlorite) to liquid waste in a final concentration of 10%.
Dispose materials carefully in biohazard bags.
Specimen Collection
The H. pylori test is performed on serum.
Serum : Serum is used from whole blood collected aseptically by venipuncture into a clean tube without anticoagulant. Allow the blood to clot at room temperature. Centrifuge the blood at 2000 rpm for 10 minutes at room temperature. Remove the serum from the clot as soon as possible to avoid hemolysis.
Reagents and materials
Test device: Each test cassette containing test strip with H.pylori antigen coated membrane and colored antigen pad.
Dilution buffer: Phosphate buffered saline with Tween 20 and preservative.
Clinical studies were carried out by using H. pylori test kit.
104 sera samples were used (51 positive sera and 53 negative sera as confirmed by biopsy culture and histology).
The relative sensitivity of H. pylori test was 94% and Specificity 98%.
