Our drill collars are manufactured from 4145H modified steel.Drill collars are bored and drifted to API Spec7-1 and fully heated to meet or exceed the mechanical property requirements of API Spec7.Hardness range of 285-341HB and a charpy V notch impact value of 54joules are guaranteed one inch below the surface.

Stress-relief grooves decease the frequence of fatigue failures by improving the bending strength of pin and box connections and reducing high stress concentrations.Sress-relief features are manufactured in compliance with API Spec7,unless otherwise specified by customers.

Shenlong offers optional elevator and slip recesses to improve handling efficiency and safety.The

upper radius of elevator recess is cold-rolled to increase product life.Slip and elevator recesses can be used together or seperately.Unless otherwise specified,slip and elevator recesses are machined in compliance with API RP7G guidline.

Drill Collars are the most important parts of all drilling string elements. The performance of drill collars will affect the efficiency of drilling. We assure every piece of Drill Collar leaving our facility conforms to the requirements of API SPEC 7-1. When producing, Traceability is maintained from the receipt of raw material to completion of final products. Serial numbers are die-stamped on each bar body. During each manufacturing process, test and inspection are performed. We do Ultrasonic Testing and Magnetic Particle Testing before and after Heat Treatment. Specimens have been taken from each bar after heat-treatment to make Tensile Test and Impact Test. We assure the Mechanical Properties of our products comply with or exceed the requirements of API. All connections are made according to API SPEC 7-1 and are phosphate-coated to improve resistance to corrosion. API Stress Relief Pin and Boreback Box are available according to clients' requirements. We provide steel thread protector for free. In order to improve handling efficiency, we offer Slip Recess and Elevator Recess.

heavy weight drill pipe:
Heavy weight drill pipes we produce is made from AISI 4145H alloy steel. We manage our production and inspection process strictly according to API SPEC 7 requirements. Excellent quality of our products have been proved by many famous chinese oilfields. Our products can last more than 600 hours with no thread gluing and no fracture. They can last much longer than other competitors in China.
Shenlong provides different size heavy weight drill pipe, 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 5", 5 1/2".
stabilizer:Our integral blade stabilizers are manufactured from single bar of AISI 4145H modified steel.Professional forging process guarantee that mechanical properties meet API Spec 7-1.Hardness range of 285-341HB and a charpy V notch impact value of 54 joules are guaranteed one inch below the surface.Shenlong employs inserted button as hard facing.
Hexagonal,square Kelly:We offer square and hexagonal Kellys.Kellys are available up to 14m long.Our Kellys are made from AISI 4145H modified alloy bars that are quenched and tempered full length.A hardness range of 285to 341 BHN and a minimum impact value of 54Joules as per ASTM A 370 Chirpy are maintained one inch bellow the surface at room temperature.All ends and center drive sections-trepanned to provide true bores.To improve resistance to galling,all connections are phosphatized and coated with an API thread compound.Each bar or tube used to manufacture kellys have been examed with magnetic particle inspections and ultrasonic inspections.Strict inspections are through the whole process of producing to ensure high quality kellys.

Drill stem subs:Shenlong manufactures all the four types of subs e.g. straight OD type A or reduced section type B or swivel sub type C or lift sub type D as per API Spec 7.These would be with box and pin connections or with box or pin connection on both sides.Class of subs manufactured are (a) kelly subs (b) tool joint subs (c)crossover subs (d) drill collar subs (e)bit subs (f) swivel subs (g)lift subs.Bit subs can be bored out for installation of float valve assembly.
